In case you weren't already aware there are three different types of gas boiler. There's the combi (combination) boiler, system boiler and conventional boiler (open vent).
Combi - A combi boiler operates without the need for cylinders or storage tanks in the loft. So if you don't have these in your house, you have a combi. These energy efficient and compact heating systems are the superior boiler, providing instant hot water, A-rated energy efficiency rating and quick installation. You could save loads on heating bills with a combi compared to an old boiler. They have few flaws, however they are more suited to small homes with less hot water outlets. You can also get a smart thermostat when you install some combi boilers (increasing efficiency of your new appliance even further!)
System - System boilers are fairly similar to combi's except they have a cylinder. Although the major central heating and water heating system components are built into the boiler, the hot water is stored in the cylinder. This means that a constant supply of hot water can be provided to a number of outlets at the same time. This makes it the ideal choice for a home with multiple bathrooms.
Open Vent (Conventional) - A conventional boiler, despite being less efficient and taking up more space, could be the perfect choice for anyone in an area with low pressure. They're also suitable for larger households as well. Unlike combi boilers, they require both a storage cylinder and a water tank but they can provide large volumes of hot water to multiple bathrooms and heating at the same time.

Replace. A repair can sometimes be as expensive as a brand new boiler. And you could easily have more problems with a repaired boiler further down the line with no guarantee.
A Boiler Replacement is usually more efficient and more reliable. Your new boiler will be covered by warranty too, so if it breaks, the manufacturer will repair it with no extra charge!
We can provide a brand new A-rated boiler from £1,795, use our boiler estimator tool to see how much a new boiler may cost.
A chemical system flush is a simple process designed to clear rust out of the insides of the pipes of your central heating system.
Using powerful chemicals specially designed for the job, a chemical flush will break down rust, debris and other materials lurking within the heating system and stop it from working correctly and allowing hot water to flow more easily to ensure that things stay hot. Having a chemical flush carried out can help improve the efficiency of your heating system.
Once the flush is complete and your system is refilled with fresh water, the engineer will add a system inhibitor/protector. This chemical is formulated to protect against both system corrosion and limescale deposition.
All installations carried out by Pure Heating Solutions include a chemical flush as standard, for free.
No. After years of experience, we've found that using a Powerflush machine on an older system simply causes more problems and is usually not required.
Instead, we carry out a Chemical Flush, which is a highly effective way to keep your system protected, approved by our manufacturer partners. If your system is found to be heavily soiled and in need of a powerflush, this would be discussed prior to your new boiler installation.
Any qualified Gas Safe engineer can carry out your annual service. This means it can be your boiler manufacturer, a Pure Heating Solutions engineer, or any other engineer that is Gas Safe registered.
You must have your boiler serviced every year to make sure your warranty is still valid. We will contact you when your service is due to remind you to book in your service.
Make sure you have your boiler serviced at least once a year by a Gas Safe engineer.
Unlike many of our competitors, your new boiler manufacturer is registered directly with the manufacturer. This allows you the freedom to choose your own engineer to service your boiler without being tied into long term service care plans, should you wish.
Don't panic, we are here for you! You can contact us on 0208 050 4989 and we can advise you on the correct action to take.
Alternatively you can also get in touch with your boiler manufacturer and they'll send an engineer out as soon as possible.
